I have loved Giraffes ever since my 4th kiddo was a baby. He is now 23 years old and my love for Giraffes has grown so much. I have so many Giraffes in my house, my office, my car, etc… I have a 7-foot-tall giraffe all the way down to keychain size. And yes, most of them have names!
So, what does this have to do with a Llama? Well, Llama belongs to the camel lid family which includes camels, alpacas, vicunas, guanacos and yes….Llamas! Why a Llama, reminds me of a giraffes is strange, but cute! They have long necks and those eyes are so big and their eye lashes are crazy! So, let me introduce you to Dalia Llama. Yes, that’s his real name! I have had him since the day he was born a tiny scrawny leggy newborn. Dalia is a dork!!! He loves me, people, our dogs, horses, and cats! I love when he comes up and hums to me to say Hi.
I have feed giraffes several times in Texas and one even licked my face! A total highlight of my life! My dream is to one day go to Kenya and work with the Giraffes. Until then having Llamas on my ranch will have to do.
